OPEN CALL FOR SEMILLERU LAB MODALITY | (POST)PRODUCTION

Divertia Gijón S.A. opens the call for SEMILLERU Lab Modality | (Post)Production, the film laboratory programme that will take place in Xixón in an on-site format from the 18th to the 21st of November.

SEMILLERU Lab Modality | (Post)Production is part of SEMILLERU, a space for the nurturing and care of film projects with the aim of generating a rich environment that respects the time of creation and at the same time helps to adapt the creative processes of the selected projects to the contemporary film scene, in a sustainable way and preserving their artistic uniqueness. SEMILLERU Lab also has a Development Mode, for which the registration process is open until 30 August.

The call is aimed at emerging filmmakers resident in Spain with no more than two feature films completed. Independent film projects of any length that are in production or post-production are accepted.

During SLab Modalidad | (Post)Production, the selected projects can be presented and shown to the jury and mentors of the programme as well as to professionals of the sector present at the 62FICX. In addition, participants will be able to hold individual meetings with all these professionals. Participants will also have access to FICXPro, the conference for film sector professionals organised by FICX, as well as to the 62nd edition of the Festival, which will be held from 15 to 23 November.

A jury made up of three professionals from different sectors of international filmmaking will award the following prizes in the SEMILLERU Lab (Post)Production Mode: SEMILLERU Lab Prize with 4. 4,000 Euros for the (post)production of the project, MUBOX Studio Award for the (Post)Production of the sound of a project, INCOPRODUCTION Award consisting of a Pro Subscription to the audiovisual matchmaking platform INCOPRODUCTION for one year, with the aim of facilitating the search for partners for the financing and distribution of the winning project and MECAS Award for the dissemination of a project consisting of the participation of the project in MECAS 2025.

SEMILLERU Lab is organised by Divertia Gijón S.A. in co-production with the Gijón International Film Festival (FICX), the Asturias Paraíso Natural Film Commission and is funded by the Government of the Principality of Asturias under the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, financed by the European Fund, Next Generation EU.
