Participation Requirements
- No more than two feature films (45 minutes or longer) completed.
- Resident in Spain.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Not having been selected in the SEMILLERU Lab 2023 edition.
Registration and Selection
The registration process will be open from July 18 to August 30, 2024.
Interested parties must:
- Complete the online form.
- Attach the specific documentation by email to semilleru@divertiagijon.es:
Development Category
Project dossier, a maximum of 8 pages in PDF format in Spanish or English: - Synopsis.
- Visual and formal treatment.
- Statement of intent.
- Biofilmography of the director, screenwriter, and/or producer (if applicable).
- Curriculum of the production company (if applicable).
- Technical and artistic details of the project (if applicable).
- Current status of the project and needs.
- Schedule.
- Budget and funding plan.
- Project images and/or visual references.
- Link to previous works (if applicable).
- Script (if applicable).
- Valid DNI, NIE, or passport.
Prizes
Development Category
- SEMILLERU Lab Asturias Paraíso Natural Film Commission Award for the development of a selected project, with a gross amount of €4,000.
- Music Library & SFX Award, estimated value of €1,500, for a flat-rate subscription to a production music catalog from Audio Network and AltMusic, including the use of music in up to two promotional contents (teaser + trailer) for the final production.
- Other awards
MECAS Award (International Film Market for Nearly Finished Films of the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria International Film Festival) for the promotion of a project, including participation in MECAS 2025. The MECAS Award will be given to one of the selected projects in SLAB, considering both projects selected in the Development Category and (Post)Production Category.

Project dossier, a maximum of 10 pages in PDF format in Spanish or English: - Synopsis.

- Biofilmography of the director, screenwriter, and/or producer.
- Curriculum of the production company.
- Current status of the project and needs.
- Schedule.
- Budget and funding plan.
- Link to previous works (if applicable).
- Link to work-in-progress or filmed material to date.
- Valid DNI, NIE, or passport.
Prizes
(Post)Production Category
- SEMILLERU Lab Asturias Paraíso Natural Film Commission Award for the development of a selected project, with a gross amount of €4,000.
- MUBOX Studio Award for sound (Post)Production of a project. The prize includes sound editing and design of the film in a maximum period of 6 weeks (5 weeks editing and 1 week mixing) at MUBOX Studio facilities.
- INCOPRODUCTION Award, consisting of a one-year Pro subscription to the audiovisual matchmaking platform INCOPRODUCTION, aimed at facilitating the search for partners for financing and distribution of the winning project, as well as other projects from its representative.
- Other awards
MECAS Award (International Film Market for Nearly Finished Films of the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria International Film Festival) for the promotion of a project, including participation in MECAS 2025. The MECAS Award will be given by the MECAS team to one of the selected projects in SLAB, considering both projects selected in the Development and (Post)Production Categories.
