Note of Intent
With Woman bites dog , we are committed to an original and risky approach to filmmaking, which favours creation from a humorous, punkish perspective and with a high formal quality. The film navigates between the auteur genre and the “mockumentary” and this poses questions to the production that propose reflections on the risks and possibilities of such a project. But the gamble is safe and necessary in order to be able to converse with the audience and allow them to discover that another cinema is possible. We encourage the spectator to do so; through a fresh look, to ask questions beyond the story he or she is watching, about the connotations, possibilities and difficulties of such a film. Like the protagonist, the spectator connects with this “other self” and liberates himself.
