Based on my recent filmography (2014-2024), we will reflect on the borders, the limits, the edges, the margins; where biologists say that life is born and filmmakers can find the new paths of evolution of the language of “moving” images and sounds. This reflection will touch on issues such as the obsolete division between fiction and documentary, the idea of the political in cinema, the need for a dissensual fiction, the validity of post-narrative cinema, the potential of the film-essay, archive cinema…

Ramón Lluís Bande (Xixón, 1972) es cineasta y escritor. Entre sus películas destacan títulos como El fulgor, Estratexa, Equí y n’otru tiempu, El nome de los árboles, Escoréu, 24 d’avientu de 1937, Aún me quedan balas para dibujar, Cantares de una revolución, Vaca mugiendo entre ruinas, Contracampos o Retaguardia.
Sus últimos libros publicados son El paisaxe belixerante (Impronta, 2024) y Cuaderno de la retaguardia (Pez de plata, 2024). Desde 2007 dirige en la Televisión del Principado de Asturias (TPA) la revista audiovisual de cultura asturiana Pieces.
