CURRENT STATUS OF THE PROJECT:

We are finishing the final stage of development of the film with the help of the SGAE Script Laboratory and we are beginning the financing process, which we will continue throughout 2023. We have gone through multiple national and international co-production forums, in which we have found two co-producers interested in joining us on this project: Bulletproof Cupid (Belgium) and MicroFilm (Romania).

NEEDS / OBJECTIVES:

We are interested in finding a national co-producer with more experience to join the project, both creatively and financially, to jointly apply for production subsidies at the ICEC and ICAA next year. Likewise, we continue to seek the support of a television, distributor, platform and sales agent.

SYNOPSIS:

A boy looking in the mirror wondering who he is. A girl who wakes up on a mattress without knowing where she belongs. Another boy who sits on a station bench, waiting for a train that may not even exist. Ángel, Alba and Alin, three young people who are looking for themselves in the city of Barcelona.

NOTE OF INTENTION:

More than once I have heard older people say that we are the lost generation. But we have also often been referred to as the best-prepared generation. Perhaps we are the sum of both: we have several careers, and we speak more than three languages, but we still work as stockers at Carrefour or as hostesses at the Mobile World Congress.

We grew up with many expectations, but we have realized that that bright future that seemed to await us and those golden words, such as meritocracy and job opportunities, to which we prayed as members of a pagan cult, had simply vanished without further ado. Well, no more. They left us with a great void after abandoning that blind faith towards something non-existent: the future.

This is the story of Ángel, Alba and Alin, three young people who, like I did back in the day, are looking for themselves in the city of Barcelona.
